A new concept for a longtime collaborative client, CDA was tasked with reinventing the experience for an existing restaurant in the charming downtown neighborhood of Park Ridge, IL.
With a focus on a modern twist on classic American fare, the interior design followed suite with a modern interpretation of the rural persona that brings farm fresh quality ingredients to their menu. Maintaining the existing footprint of what was another restaurant within the Brand's line-up, the previous dark and heavy interiors were revitalized with a lighter, brighter overhaul in terms of the overall palette and materials.
Contemporary nods to the pasture lifestyle are celebrated through eclectic art installations of agricultural tools, antique plates, masonry jars, even a twist on on Grant Wood's modernist painting 'American Gothic'. Textures throughout are reminiscent of a modern farmhouse style with butcher block tables, ship-lap walls and white shutters used as spatial dividers.
Restaurant has since closed.
