Lexus of Highland Park | Chipman Design Architecture

The successful completion of this new State of the Art Facility was due to great teamwork. The team consisted of the Owner (Lexus of Highland Park), General Contractor (Osman Construction Corp.) & the Architect (Chipman Design Architecture). This team collaboration every step of the way, from the initial design sketches complete through the construction of this brand new state of the art sales and service facility, was the key factor that contributed to the successful completion of this new sales and service facility for Highland Park Lexus in Highland Park Illinois.

The Ask

Chipman Design Architecture was charged with developing a luxury design paired with functional spaces for the dealership including the Showroom, Executive and Sales Offices, Training and Administrative Area, a three-lane drive-through Service Reception Area, Customer Lounge with Children’s Play Area and a complete Vehicle Service Center, all in a 42,000sf building footprint. The project also included an attached 2,400 sf full-service, indoor carwash on the four-acre property, all adhering to the Lexus corporate building design standards.

The Task

Responding to the client’s request planning for future office expansion, Chipman Design Architecture designed and provided the structural framing required for the installation of a future staircase and elevator to a constructed 5,000sf second floor deck in the Showroom of the dealership.
