Menin Hospitality, the parent company of Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, approached CDA to design a venue that seamlessly transitions from a lunch spot to a dinner destination, and into a lively nightlife hub. This project marked our first collaboration with Menin Hospitality, aiming to create a dynamic space that captures the moody essence of the Bodega brand.
We tackled the challenge of modifying the curtain wall to integrate an operable folding storefront window system within a multi-story parking tower. Using materials like reclaimed wood, corrugated metal, and glazed tile, we created a textured, atmospheric space that perfectly embodies Bodega’s brand, achieving a fusion of restaurant functionality and nightlife allure in Chicago's River North neighborhood.
