Next Level Burger
Denver, CO
Next Level Burger partnered with Chipman Design Architecture to reimagine the classic Americana burger and shake experience through a fully plant-based lens. As the brand evolved its identity around sustainability and innovation, CDA developed an architectural approach that reflects those values while supporting a scalable restaurant model.
As the brand’s first location in Denver, the project required adapting an existing building while maintaining its zoning status, which limited the extent of exterior modifications. This called for a careful balance between preservation and transformation. Chipman Design Architecture developed a solution that repurposes the existing structure while introducing new materials and design elements that reinforce the brand’s identity. Warm wood paneling, layered signage and coordinated exterior features create a more welcoming presence while working within the constraints of the site.
Inside, the design continues this balance between familiarity and differentiation. A palette of warm tones and natural materials is paired with brighter accents to create an open and inviting environment that supports both the brand’s personality and the customer experience. Existing materials were carefully reused where possible, while new elements were introduced to add depth and flexibility to the space.
Building on this initial location, CDA developed a more structured prototype approach to support the brand’s growth. By establishing clear planning strategies and design standards, each subsequent location can maintain consistency while adapting to new markets and site conditions.
