Mejuri

Austin TX, and Miami, FL

Mejuri partnered with Chipman Design Architecture to translate its direct-to-consumer jewelry brand into a physical retail experience, creating environments that feel refined, approachable and focused on the product. As the brand expands into brick-and-mortar retail, CDA supports the architectural execution of stores that reinforce Mejuri’s identity while responding to compact footprints and diverse urban contexts.

Across locations, Chipman Design Architecture focuses on clarity and restraint, developing layouts that prioritize an unencumbered customer experience. Minimal casework, open sightlines and a calm, neutral palette allow the product to take center stage, while dedicated program elements, such as in-store piercing studios, expand the retail experience in a controlled and integrated way.

Working within varied conditions, including high-density urban neighborhoods, the team develops solutions that maximize efficiency without compromising the overall environment. Strategies such as repurposing existing structures, using cost-effective materials and carefully layering design elements help create spaces that feel more expansive and aligned with the surrounding context.

Visual elements are introduced with intention, balancing brand identity with local influence. In environments such as Wynwood, more expressive features and color moments are integrated to reflect neighborhood character, while maintaining the consistency expected across the brand.

Across multiple locations, the environments maintain a clear, product-focused experience while adapting to the character of each site, giving Mejuri a consistent presence as it expands into physical retail.
